Charlene Koonce is an equity partner with Scheef & Stone, LLP. Ms. Koonce helps large and small businesses resolve all types of disputes, including breach of contract, commercial tenancy, fraud, securities fraud, fraudulent transfer, direct selling issues, and employment disputes. Ms. Koonce has obtained favorable results for clients through bench and jury trials, mediated and negotiated settlements, and extensive motion practice. Her practice emphasis is in federal litigation, and her experience includes extensive service as and representation of federal equity receivers in government enforcement cases.
Charlene graduated magna cum laude from Abilene Christian University in 1988 and cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1991. She met her husband Ken during law school and has been married for 24 years. They have two beautiful daughters - the oldest is a double major at Rice University and the youngest is a high school student at Green Hill School who is spending a year in Spain as an exchange student.
Charlene has coached youth sports, played competitive volleyball as an adult, actively participated in the parents organization of her daughters’ school, served on numerous committees and groups for her church, volunteers as a mentor at a local elementary school, and serves as the Chair of her law firm’s diversity committee.
She enjoys walking her plus-sized Golden Retriever, reading historical biographies, traveling, and cooking.
