“Women’s lives change dramatically when they are mentored well.”
Definition of Mentoring: A caring, sharing, and helping relationship where one person invests time, know-how and effort in enhancing another person’s growth, knowledge and skill. Good mentoring relationships provide support to future leaders by helping women gain self-confidence and develop skills through access to the resources and support they need to achieve their potential. These positive outcomes are only possible when they are engaged in high-quality mentoring relationships. Our goal is to provide collegiate women, who are often first-generation students, access to experts and experiences through mentoring.
By joining EWL and becoming a mentor, you create an opportunity to have a positive, lasting influence on the life of another woman. Consider the fulfillment you will feel knowing that you are sharing your life experience and wisdom with someone who wants to learn and grow and appreciates your personal guidance. Many mentors say that this is one of the most satisfying and rewarding experiences that they have ever had.
If you are passionate about helping other women achieve their goals, join us in guiding our students and members to navigate personal, educational and career choices.
